Mailboxes
Mailboxes can be managed at your server's Control Center. To create a new mailbox you should enter mailbox name and password. When you create new mailbox, system reserves some disk space where it will put incoming mail and start accepting mail to this mailbox.
To access your mailbox using standard POP3 client (Eudora, Pegasus, Outlook Express, etc.) enter your virtual server as both POP3 and SMPT server. I.e. to access mailbox of your server "myserver.com" setup your POP3 and SMPT servers in your client configuration as "myserver.com".
Since all mailbox login names are unique and shared between users in the HOSTEX system, it might happen that login name that you want to use is already in use by another HOSTEX user. E.g., it might happen that login 'michael' might be already taken, but that is not a problem, because you can create a mailbox with login name 'michael1' and add the alias michael@your-domain.com, which is the address to send email to, whereas 'michael1' is your pop3 login name used to retrieve email. The number of aliases at HOSTEX is unlimited and there are free. You can create a mailbox 'michael333' and aliases administrator@yoursite.com, webmaster@yoursite.com and michael@yoursite.com. All the mail sent to those addresses will be put into your mailbox 'michael333'.
N.B. Each mailbox can have an unlimited number of aliases and they are free. Number of mailboxes is not limited too, but will be charged for every mailbox you use.
