Connecting via FTP

FTP is short for "File Transfer Protocol". It enables you to upload files located on your hard drive to your new web server. You have unlimited access via FTP 24 hours a day.

There are numerous FTP programs available on the web. Feel free to choose any of them. You can download FTP programs from www.downloads.com entering 'FTP' in the Search field.

In order to connect to your site and upload the web pages via ftp you will have to use following informaiton: site address (host name), username and password. The address is your virtual server name, your-domain-name.com or IP address 216.35.46.11 . The username and password are the ones that you entered at the registration for server access. Please note, that the username/password for FTP connection are different than the ones used for logging into your Control Center and have been sent to you via e-mail after registration.
